Academisthan and MSBSVET Launch “AI for Educators"

A 30-Hour Online Course to Empower Teachers with Future Skills

In a landmark initiative to bring the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into classrooms, Academisthan, in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training (MSBSVET), today launched a 30-hour online program titled “AI f or Educators.” The course aims to help teachers harness AI tools effectively and ethically, transforming traditional teaching into a more engaging and tech-enabled experience.

The event was graced by Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Hon’ble Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of Maharashtra. In his address, Shri Lodhaji commended the initiative, calling it a timely step towards preparing educators for the future. “AI i s not just the technology of tomorrow—it’s the language of today. Empowering our teachers with AI literacy ensures that our students are ready for the opportunities of t he digital age,” he said.

Dr. Rajan Welukar, Vice Chancellor of ATLAS SkillTech University, highlighted the importance of using AI rightly and ethically, noting that the true value of technology lies in how responsibly it is applied in education.

Adding to this perspective, Dr. Apoorva Palkar., Vice Chancellor of Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skill University, urged teachers to view AI as an aid rather than a replacement. “AI can handle mundane and repetitive tasks, giving teachers more time for mentorship, creativity, and human connection,” she remarked. The ceremony also featured insights from Shri Yogesh Patil, Director o f MSBSVET, Madhavi Sardeshmukh, Director of DVET, both of whom reaffirmed the state’s commitment to skill development and digital readiness.

Deepakkumar Mukadam, Founder of Academisthan, is the driving force behind this collaborative initiative. His v ision for accessible, high-quality AI education for teachers has been instrumental in designing this program, aimed at making AI literacy a core part of professional development for educators. The AI for Educators course offers 30 hours of hands-on training to help teachers use AI for content creation, classroom management, and ethical tech practices. Through this initiative, MSBSVET and Academisthan advance digital, skill-based, future-ready education.
